JOB DESCRIPTION

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Carry out the manufacturing according to the scope of supply received from the Technical area, through the Production Manager.
• Installation work of substation LV distribution and substation control.
• Electrical installation
• Mechanical installation.
• Carry out the assembly of VT chambers
• VT fuse box assembly
• Electrical installation
• Mechanical installation.
• Carry out the assembly of the Protection and control panels.
• Internal layout of control cabinets, (relays, meters, connectors, etc.).
• Internal electrical wiring.
• Assembling the P&C panel onto the switchgear
• Mechanical assembling
• Electrical interconnection.
• Assembly and installation of Transformer LV and HV covers and protection control, Fuse / MCCB enclosures.
• Complete production paper work, e.g time sheet, stock control cards.
  
• Provide assistance to the Senior Production & Service Engineer during factory acceptance tests, (FAT).
• PDI Inspection and Function testing of the Switchgear.
  
• Functional testing of CTs and VTs.
• Wire checks of control panels and control schemes.
• Give technical support on site to the Service Area in the installation & commissioning activities carried out on customers sites.
  

REQUIEREMENTS

Qualifications/Skills:

• NVQ / City & Guilds level 2 / 3 qualification in Electrotechnical Services (Electrical Installation) or similar.
• Minimum 3 year Apprenticeship experience in electrical industry.
  
• Knowledge – Computer literacy (excel, Word and Outlook)
  
• Understanding of Electrical and Mechanical principles
  
• Understanding how to read / interpret electrical and mechanical
  
• The following would be advantageous:
• 18th edition Electrical installation, NVQ / City & Guilds level 2 / 3 qualification in Mechanical & Electrical qualification.
• Experience in working with Medium Voltage Switchgear, Auxiliary Transformers, Voltage transformers and current transformers, wiring of Control panels and LV installations.
